Workshop description:
Join Romalyn Ante on this generative poetry workshop that explores the power of amulets, talismans, and incantations through poetry. We will delve into the metaphors and stories behind these objects from around the world. We will share ideas on our personal amulets and examine diverse symbols and metaphors of protection, uncovering the rich emotional, political, spiritual, and ecological meanings within these objects. We will craft our own ‘talisman’ poems through guided writing exercises and the discussion of poems, drawing inspiration from global traditions and personal connections.
